Some of my better shots.

I am less than an amateur photographer but love taking nice pics. I like to think I have a creative eye, and have taken some really nice ones in the past. I tend to like scenery, landscapes and objects more thab action or people pets etc. Don't kno why, but I do. The trouble with photos, or pictures, especially private ones is that unless you show them to someone, they never get seen. Never appreciated.   I don't usually like to ask people to look at them. I guess it's a personal thing.

I don't want others to say "No thanks, not interested", as it would be dissapointing to me. Nor do I want them to say "Yeh, OK, sure", and not really be interested. Just trying to be nice. So, I thought I'd put them in this hub, and make it available to view, to anyone who really IS interested. Heck, they may even leave a comment.

Anyway, without any further delay, here they are. Hope you like them. Some were taken in Hawaii, some in Phuket, Thailand, and some in Australia.

Great pictures! I would love one day to visit all of these places, especially Australia. Home of my favorite Aussie, Rick Springfield. What can I say I'm a sucker for Aussies. Keith,Ingo,Hugh and Mel up until his breakdown.

Thanks pastella13.

If ever you wanted to visit these places, I highly recommend you plan to do it. Otherwise it will only stay a wish. There are so many beautiful places in the world to see, and there has never been a better time to go than now. Not sure about other countries, but airfares here in Australia are about as low as they can be. Just about anyone can fly these days.

Thanks for visiting this hub, and also commenting. I appreciate it.

Hi I loved the photos, especially last one - it would look good transferred to canvas for hanging in the home, especially if it holds some special memory - thanks for sharing, Juliette.

Fantastic pictures....who said you're an amateur?! I loved the sunset ones and that oil slick on water. There's nothing more wonderful than capturing beauty on lens. I've started experimenting too and it's addictive! Thank you for sharing these...:)

Thank you answering my question about bad dreams on the hub pages my fellow Australian. I am also Australian by choice and I like teaching although I am not so convinced about my christian beliefs but I come from strong Catholic family dating back hundreds years. I liked your answer and I also believe that more in peace you are with yourself, more in peace you are with people around you and your surrounding. However bad dreams may occur when we are sick or fear for our loved ones who are not with us for whatever reason...or we just worried about the state of our world...

If you have some time to spare maybe you can visit me on my blogs:

By the way, your pictures are really beautiful, they do not only reflect the beautiful landscape but the spirit of the country and the photographer, you, who decided to capture a moment in time for everyone to share...Thank you for sharing it with me. See you on my blogs.

Hello Foxxfire. Thank you for your compliments. I hoped others would enjoy these pics. That's why I put them here. I did't expect as great a response as I've had. :)

Re, the cabling on the post, they were (still are) in Phuket, and the thing that was so amazing was, the incredible BUZZZZ that came from these. You could hear it as you walked under it. I've never seen anything like it anywhere before.

DJ~ Great pics. Thanks so much for sharing! I love all of them but, my favorites are the hut, Blue Hawaii, and the one with the pine needles on the right side of the pic(my ultimate fave). I was quite amazed by the pic with all the wires jumbled on the pole. Makes me wonder.

Thanks for your comment, and esp your suggestion. I have thought of posting some of my pics on similar sites (for income) but dissmissed it for lack of confidence in the standard of my pics.

Maybe I should look into it before I dismiss the idea.

Gorgeous Pics Aka-dj. Blue Hawaii is my favourite.

Read your response above and a suggestion would be to post them on Redgage. You will get paid for them. They can also get featured earning you more money. Redgage.com

A lot of HP guys use it for backlinks and blogs including me. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks all.

I appreciate you looking, and commenting with these kind and encouraging words.

I have lots more pictures, but I don't know what I will do with them. It would be too many to post on HP. Anyhow, at least some of them are "out there" and available to be seen.

Blessings.

The pictures are clear and centered, good job. I did not recognize picture #3 and #5 looks like a high volume area :)

The one of the city in the sunset with mountains behind it is my favorite. They're all awesome!

The oil slick one reminds me of John Lennon and a grizzly bear.

I like your pics closer to home. Simple nature photos are nice. I like those. Also the telephone pole was shocking. Good choice in statement.

I didn't know you were a photographer. nice. :D
